I have a difficult time getting my friends and family to comment, too. (Except for my 11-yr-old niece, she loves it.) Tell your friend that if she would just TRY it, she'd be hooked.
I once had a friend that only read my blog and never commented. Then she decided once to comment, and now she has her own blog! It's how I started, too!
