Light at the end of the tunnel

Daniel is coming home tonight! I am so excited that I am going to pause in my typing, and get up to do the "cabbage patch." Come on, join me!

Really! Join me, just this once!

*brief interlude during which the author is gyrating around her computer room in her robe *

Okay! I am so glad he is coming home. He has been at a SWAT conference in San Antonio since Saturday morning. Seeing as how I don't like to talk on the phone, we have had very little vocal contact since then. Perhaps about thirty minutes over the course of the five days.

I am ready to see him! I want to see what kind of facial hair he attempted this week. I want to hear his funny stories. I want to show him the bo-bo I got from running into my desk at school. I want to eat dinner with him and watch "Blind Justice" and "Cops" from this week.

Hurry home!

Thanks again for coming to see my new blog! I caught up some of your recent postings, and I'm seeing some things in common here! We both like to...read; like summer better than winter; shortbread cookies; go to a Bible church; like fallback better than spring forward (it was a rough weekend for me); I'm extremely ticklish on my sides and my husband knows this-grrrr. I DEFINITELY like fountain coke better than bottled/canned. I just bought a sewing machine but haven't gotten it out of the box yet. Meanwhile, I'm reduced to button sewing. I don't have many girlfriends; LOVE backrubs, love 'em- my mom and my sister give awesome backrubs. I have the same James Avery fish ring; just got my ears pierced a yr ago- 1piercing per ear; feel sorry for the elephants; and the grand finale- please play with my hair people, PLEASE? I beg my mom to do this- frequently. Or braid it, b/c it's almost the same effect. My dad used to brush my hair when I was little so that ranks up there too, and I like it when my stylist brushes my hair w/ a comb when she's putting the conditioner in. sigh. And last, but not least, my best friend/boyfriend in high school has a sister named Amanda Susanna and I liked her alot, so we are now kindred spirits.

oh my gosh, jcol, i totally read the end of your comment incorrectly. i thought it said, "my best friend/boyfriend in high school was named Amanda Susanna..." and i was thinking, "what an odd name for a boy."

i'm glad that wasn't the case.

AMANDA: a SWAT conference? is Daniel on the Nac SWAT team? I didn't know there was one! hmmm...i was wondering what kind of business trip he could have possibly been on. hooray that he is coming home!

Glad Daniel's coming home! Did Tux miss his dad? How was SWAT? Has he gotten his riot gear yet?

Does he attempt facial coverage only to end up with a few sprigs that won't connect to any kind of uniformity?

Heath does that. Then his boss will ask if he's a "genXer" and he shaves it all off that night. :)

that is really cool about all of those similarities! i am getting my hair cut today so i will get the combing-conditioner effect in about 6 hours!

nac does have a swat team. there are about 18 officers on it. he loves it. sometimes he sleeps in his riot gear.

also, cabbage patch WITH me about him coming home. REALLY.

also, he does have riot gear! he has been on swat for almost a year - but this is his first conference. thus the excitement.

Totally in line! I just posted the list I have 5 people in line and the first two are consuming loads of my time.

http://www.postednote.com/images/alan/alan2.jpg here is the start of Alan's site and you have already seen what Ben's site has entailed - these designs take hours and so I have been so busy working on them that I haven't had much time to comment - or blog surf - much to my chagrin.

Jes, that is too funny! I think I would have issues dating a guy named Amanda. Rest assured,it wasn't the case.

Amanda Sue, I forgot to mention that I too, watch Blind Justice. Although I didn't get to pay it the full attention it deserved last night due to me trying to figure out how to post pictures on my blog.

Eddo, I know you are slaving over new templates, but if you have a "blogs that need desperate help in the future" list, can you add me to it? I would be most appreciative!

i didn't watch Blind Justice last night because daniel wasn't home. but i recorded it and we will watch it tonight.

it is a poor replacement for NYPD Blue, but it will have to do for now.
