Not about babies or boobs, I promise
Check THIS out.
How would you like to be the one refused service? Are they going to have a scale near the entrance? Are they going to keep a tally on the number of times they have been served? And what if the person is eating a salad?
What a stupid idea and a waste of legislators' time.

Good to know our lawmakers are out there really trying to make a difference.
That's just absurd on SO many levels. How about forcing restaurants to make the food they serve HEALTHIER?? Crazy thought.
Ugh... and our taxes pay people to sit around all day and think up stupid stuff like this? I bet half the Mississippi legislature is overweight. Doubt it'll pass.
As a Mississippi resident who would fall into that group, this totally ticks me off and I will be contacting my legislators regarding this. Thanks for bringing it up.
I understand the sentiment. This state is at or near the top in obesity, and I'm sure it may be well intentioned. I think this bill has little chance of succeeding, seeing as how it will penalize many in the very body which would have to pass it, not to mention the very governor who would have to sign it into law, depending on how "obese" will be defined by the Health Department.
There are other ways to address the obesity problem in this state and I suggest the gentleman from Southaven focus his attention on things the Legislature can and should actually influence, such as K-12, workforce, community college and higher education, economic development and infrastructure improvement.
