Have you ever...

...had a bad taste in your mouth from something you ate or drank, like a cookie, or sweet tea, and instead of going to brush your teeth, or putting a piece of gum in your mouth, you walk into the kitchen and find something to eat so that, for a few seconds, your mouth won't taste bad. But then, after the food has been chewed and swallowed, the bad taste is right back in your mouth and you are right back at the beginning of this post?

Was this something that you ate, or is it another side effect of the bulging belly?

Or both?

okay guys, really. this is not something i am making up.

you eat some food, it tastes good. but after a while, you have that "gosh, i need to brush" taste in your mouth.

i know this is not just a "me" thing.

You are not alone...for example, food such as pancake syrup, sour item of candy, peanunts, toast with butter and honey....well I guess you get the idea...just a few things that came to mind that make me want to brush my teeth....:)

I will back you up. Sometimes when I'm at work, I have this problem so I'll get a soda or swish some water and think that will solve the problem. But it's only a temporary solution, and I either need to find some gum or go home and brush my teeth! :)

Yep! I no longer eat DORITOS because of that. The flavor would be stuck in my mouth forever.... even if I did brush my teeth. EEWWW GROSS!

I LOVE pickles. I couldn't stop eating the new Vlasic Tabasco flavored pickles last night. But then, vinegar aftertaste. Blech. Did I mention how good they are though???

Mustard always leaves a permanent taste. Especially when you try to wash it down with some lemonade.

Maybe I should try spreading the mustard ON something and then eating it...

JLR, you have intervened in my facetious remark to Amanda Sue. that's not YOUR job. it's the LORD's job.

sheesh. get it right.

however, slim fast bars DO taste like potatoes, and not in a good way.

Jes, I don't know how a snack bar tasting like potatoes could ever be "in a good way," but I don't think that they do taste like potatoes.

Maybe the way that YOU fix potatoes, they taste like Slim Fast bars. Did you think about that?
