Book review update

A Million Little Pieces makes me want to put my head underwater and inhale.

It never got better. The author is a recovering drug addict, which is great. But the whole book is how HE did it by himself. Without God (he is agnostic). Without a 12 Step program (he is too good for that). By himself. That is not inspiring to me.

So he saved his own life... but what value is a life without God, anyway???

I'll make a mental note not to pick that one up. No thanks.

I do, however, love just about anything written by Nicolas Sparks!

Jes! Amanda! The Royal Tenenbaums is one of the best movies EVER! Where is your warped sense of humor? C'MON!

Hey Amanda Sue - hmmm, never heard of this book but then again I don't watch Oprah (I know this might be considered a cardinal sin but I'm willing to take my chances). If you are interested in a story about overcoming drug addiction and doing it with the help of rehab and the program as well as God might I recommend Steve Sporre (a fellow blogger) who is writing a blog-book about his addiction and recovery.

Now a completely 'tard movie is The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.

Hubby loved it.

Amanda, you may need to watch it just to drool over Owen Wilson. It also has Bill Murray, who is NOT drool worthy.

I liked the Tennenbaums and loved Guffman!! Anyway, I just read a book you'd probably like, Amanda, it's by John Grogan, "Marley and Me." It's an easy read and it's sweet. Not a heavy read at all, but those types are good sometimes.

Thanks for the update. You saved me a few bucks. Now, I'll just wait till the movie comes to television. ;-)
