Conspiracy Theory: I am not making this up

I have a few minor obsessions, most of which are tempered quite nicely by my Daily Dose. However, a few still get through. I have obsessions about foods (binge eating, without the purging) and I have obsessions about words (How many words can I make from the letters in this word? What does that say backwards? Is it a palindrome? How many words can I make from "palindrome"? Etc.)

My recent obsession has been cars with one working headlight.

Hypothesis: Most vehicles with only one working headlight are Chevrolet/GMC model vehicles. I am not making this up. Mostly Suburbans, Tahoes, Z71s, etc.

Daniel says that is true for me because a) I drive mostly during the day and b) those model vehicles come equipped with Daytime Running Lights, which probably burn out quicker than other lights.

Honestly, the reasoning doesn't matter. This is causing problems in my life. I am counting cars and keeping running tallies everywhere I go. I can barely function as a driver, especially when I see a vehicle that is NOT a C/GMC with a burned out headlight. I want to know WHY!

My reason for blogging this is that maybe someone else can help share the burden. I can only patrol the roads in Nacogdoches County. Perhaps if someone else can investigate their area, my mind will be eased.

So your homework: watch the cars on your drive to work and back. Keep tallies of your own. Report back to me. And if you drive a doggone C/GMC with DRL, unscrew the bulbs!

Okay, now that I'm over it, I don't think I can offer my services for one-eyed C/GMC's here in the Metroplex. I just might go insane.

The obsession with words...I can dig it.

roam, realm, dine, mine, polar, pardon, Rome, and of course NAP!!

This is fun! Wanna do a daily blog word???

i am disappointed that you are not answering the call to help your sister. i guess i will have to come up there and evaluate the situation for myself.

thank you for the word additions! i will not do a daily blog word because that would aggravate my precarious obsession. but you should check out www.wordplays.com.

well, you DO need to come up here and visit while 3+ hours in a vehicle don't drive you to madness...yet. Don't you need some stuff-you-can't-get-there? Don't you need to squeeze your niece's chubby thighs again? Don't you need to inhale cat hair again? C'mon...

Yeah, Bella's already got a drinkin' problem. It's where the chunky legs came from. Still not much of a hiney though..

So, I understand your blog. And I understand your obsessions. I don't understand why this is a Conspiracy Theory. Conspiracy to what?

I will need to visit Word Play. Does Yahoo games have a game like this? Because then we could get on and play at the same time and compete against each other. :)

well, jes, it is a conspiracy theory because someone somewhere is using this faulty lighting to exacerbate obessive tendancies in people like myself. it started when i drove a Suburban that had this faulty headlight problem, and since then, i have noticed it more and more. maybe it is my own version of The Truman Show. maybe someone is watching to see how long it would take me to go crazy because of this.

ooh! ooh! i want to play! pick me! pick me!!

here are my answers to that LONG LIST OF QUESTIONS:

• Are there moments you try to remind yourself to blog about a subject later on? Yes
How often? Once or twice a day
How do you remember? I usually don’t, unless my husband reminds me, because I have a terrible memory
In which situations? In which situations do I remember, or in which situations do I remind myself to blog about something later? This question needs to be clarified.

• How much time do you spend in general for blog sites?
2 to 4 hours each day

• Are there certain moments that make you more motivated to write? Yes
What are those moments? When something even somewhat interesting has happened that I can exaggerate into a story.
Why do they motivate? Because it’s somewhat interesting! Otherwise, my life is not all that interesting. That’s why I only blog once per day instead of 10 times per day. Gosh. Can you imagine if I blogged ten times per day?

• Do other people in your environment inspire you to blog (e.g. friends, family, colleagues) if so how do they inspire? Yes! Humans are interesting creatures. Nearly all my blogs are somehow related to people in my life. Or, at least people in my environment.

• Do you do other things while you are making entries (little rituals like, playing music, eating, singing, talking, chatting etc.) No. I’m only a sometimes-multi-tasker. Blogger isn't one of those times. I get toodistracted. And then I would forget what I was saying. And how awkward would that be, to read a blog that stopped in the middle of

• Are there any moments when you hesitate to post when you are not sure about privacy issues? Yes
Which privacy issues could it be? Things I don’t want my parents to read. Also, things that could allow someone to stalk me. I don’t want anyone stalking me.

• Do you sometimes blog in a hurry? Not often.
-If yes, do you consider these entries valuable? ANYTHING I say is valuable! :)
• Are there moments you think of something you want to blog about, but you don’t, because it is too much effort to go to your (or any other) computer? No. Because if I have something to say, I say it.
-And if yes, why is it too much of a bother? Does it take to much time, or is the entry simply not important enough?

• Do you make notes to remind yourself of things you want to enter into your web log? Yes. I write on napkins, or notepads, or whatever is around me.

• If you would be able to blog anywhere with a kind of mobile blogging device, for what would you use it? What kind of question is this? If it was a mobile blogging device, why would I use it for other purposes? Maybe it would make a good paperweight. I could use it for that.

-How much functions should such a device have?:

A: same as computer
B: limited but enough to make notes
C: only one function (like text or photo’s)

d: all of the above.

• Do you re-edit your entries? yes
-If yes, how often? Several times immediately after publishing it.
-What type of entries is likely to be edited? All of them, until they are exactly as I want them.

• Would you like enhancements to your web log? (Or did you make some yourself?) yes, I have customizations.

• Could you give an example of an enhancement you would like? Mastheads, templates, sidebar items

• Which features should be made easier to use: E, for people who do not know how to code HTML or CSS.
A: Entering messages
B: attaching photo’s
C: editing
D: commenting
E: customizing your blog
F: none
G: other:

Ohhh.... NOW I understand!

It took me a minute to figure out why you would delete someone's comment, because I thought it might be part of the conspiracy, and then I read Jess's comment and got even more confused, because I didn't know where those questions came from.

But, you are a good blog administrator, and now I understand that you deleted a no-name quiz that Jess got to before you did.

Ah-ha moments are so nice to have!

OMW! You are so funny, not about what you wrote today, about what you posted on my site about me being offended. I am not easily offended and actually I took what you wrote as a compliment. I hadn't had a chance to respond but I had planned on it!

Thanks for stopping by posted note! Now I can read what you have to say...
