Question

If someone you know is pregnant, and they have an aversion to beef, so you make them some lasagne with no beef in it and drive it 200 miles to their house, and they never eat it, and you know it is getting freezer burn in their freezer, do you say something about it, or just let it go?

This is purely hypothetical.

As difficult as it hypothetically is, I think I would recommend not saying anything. While you put a lot of thought and effort into making and transporting said hypothetical lasagne, really you did it to show your love and concern for the other person.

That love and concern is still there, whether the lasagne gets eaten or not. Plus, you'll be saving the recipient from having to make up a little white lie when she tells you how much she enjoyed it.

true. and this hypothetical person is no good at lying anyway.

so i guess that is it. for future reference, in case this ever by chance happens to me, i will not say anything!

smarty-pants.

I kept forgetting it is THERE! I am pregnant, after all. Funny you mention it cuz I put one of them in the fridge yesterday to thaw.

I imagine it will be WONDERFUL for lunch! I shall post the results.

as i was reading this, i wondered whether you were talking about your sister! maybe you should drive up to FtW and cook it FOR her.

that should get the point across quite nicely.

Yeah, you should come up here and cook for me.

THAT'LL show me!

you mean microwave it for her? it has already been cooked (hypothetically) and it is sitting in her freezer (hypothetically) waiting to be thawed, nuked, and eaten.

but you are right, i need to follow through and finish what i started. how about it just eat it, too?

You are a very nice sister. If you ever want to "hypothetically" make me meatless lasagna, I would gladly eat it right away.
Ok. That wins the award for cheesey comment of the evening.
